Gauteng Province Department of Education calls for online admissions
The Gauteng Province Department of Education has opened online admissions today for learners who will enter grades 1 and 8 in 2024.
Parents of eligible learners are encouraged to apply online to one school only for their children to be automatically placed there for the coming academic year.
Admissions opened at 0800hrs SAST today (18 December 2023). This effort attempts to address any learners who may not have been successfully placed in schools this late but who still need placement at public schools.
The public service announcement reads:
Late application for Grade 1 and 8 in Gauteng public schools for 2024 will open from 18 December 2023 at 08:00 AM.
Only schools with space will be available for applications. Parents must apply to just one school and will be automatically place at the said school. Documents must be submitted to schools when schools open on 17 January 2024.
